Congrats to Kentucky for 2011

Leading freshman sire Congrats will stand the 2011 breeding season at Tom Simon’s Vinery near Lexington, according to majority owner John Sykes. The 10-year-old son of A.P. Indy   formerly stood at Vinery near Summerfield, Fla.

A grade II winner, Congrats will stand for $15,000.

A fixture atop the first-crop list since early August, Congrats not only ranks first by progeny earnings, with more than $1.15 million, but by winners, with 20.  In addition, he ranks in the top five among all sires of 2-year-olds in those two categories.
