The Derby City 6 jackpot, which challenges bettors to have the only winning combination to take down the jackpot, has a 20-cent denomination with a 15% takeout. If there are multiple winning combinations, 90% of the daily pool will be paid, out with the remaining 10% going to the carryover.

The main track was sealed throughout training but thanks to Mother Nature was able to dry out and be listed as “good” to start the card. The turf was labeled as “firm,” with the temporary rail placed at 24 feet.
