Chinglish Strong in James Murphy

Chinglish powered home to win Saturday's $100,000 James W Murphy Stakes on the Preakness undercard at Pimlico on Saturday.

As expected, Joes Blazing Aaron carved out the fractions but Humble And Hungry never let him out of his sights. Chinglish bided his time in 4th and Master Dunker was well behind the rest.

Humble And Hungry inched clear turning for home but Chinglish unleashed a strong rally and scored by 2-3/4 lengths under John Velazquez.

Mark Hennig was the winning trainer and his 3-year-old colt paid $19.60. The final time for the flat mile grass race was 1:40.05.

Humble And Hungry easily held the place and Master Dunker was up for the show under Ramon Dominguez.

Lil Bit O'Fun completed the superfecta and was followed across the line by Joes Blazing Aaron. Distorted Appeal, Stormy The Cat, Balto More, and Broad Rule.
