Check out odds one bookmaker has posted for Belmont Stakes

Even though he is not yet confirmed to be entered, beaten Kentucky Derby favorite Essential Quality carries the shortest odds at one foreign bookmaker that is taking futures bets on next month’s Belmont Stakes.

Coming off his fourth-place finish at Churchill Downs, Essential Quality is 3-1 at the Costa Rica-based Bovada to win the 1 1/2-mile classic June 5 at Belmont Park.

After opening as a 5-2 favorite this week, Preakness Stakes winner Rombauer has drifted to a 4-1 second choice followed by third-place Derby finisher Hot Rod Charlie at 9-2. Preakness runner-up Midnight Bourbon and Santa Anita Derby (G1) winner Rock Your World are next, each at 5-1.

Before she was removed from Belmont consideration to target the Coaching Club American Oaks (G1) in July, undefeated Kentucky Oaks-winning filly Malathaat had been an 8-1 sixth choice.
