Who are the best jockeys in the Nation? Now you can cast your vote to decide the rankings!

Casting a vote for your favorite jockeys is just like voting for your favorite horses. Just login to HRN (now's a great time to Join for FREE!). Click on the jockey's profile page and look for the stars. Click on the number of stars you feel best rates the rider. You can vote on each jockey only once per week. The Power Rankings are updated every half-hour to reflect the most current votes. 

 

 

Just like their equine counterparts, Each jockey's HRN Top 250 rating is given a true Bayesian estimate based upon votes from the HRN members. It is a weighting mechanism to adjust a rider's rating score based on the number of votes it has received. The rankings are more than just an average.

This prevents a jockey from being ranked #1 in the all time ranking with just a single vote of 10 in the wiki. Thus, it is important to vote riders based on ability, not in an attempt to "move them up."

Since these rankings are brand new, it will take time for them to adjust and regulate to the opinions of the community.
