Caleb's Posse stormed down the middle of the track to win Saturday's Breeders' Cup Mile at Churchill Downs.

The Factor set the pace from the inside as expected but Shackleford was always moving well and never let the leader out of his sights. The Preakness winner took control turning for home but Caleb's Posse was beginning to hit his best stride.

Caleb's Posse swallowed up the field with giant strides and his momentum carried him to a rather easy victory under Rajiv Maragh. The Donnie Von Hemel trainee paid $15.60.

Shackleford held the place and longshot Tres Borrachos completed the trifecta. Trappe Shot was 4th.

The BC Dirt Mile was the fifth stakes win of the season for Caleb's Posse.
