France: Royal Ascot winner Byword is set for a rematch with old rival Goldikova next month in the Prix d'Ispahan at Longchamp, where only a half-length separated the pair last year.

According to owner Khalid Abdullah's racing manager TeddyGrimthorpe, the Andre Fabre-trained five-year-old could make his seasonal debut in the Prix du Muguet, a Group 2 event at Saint-Cloud on May 1, before setting his sights on the three-time Breeders' Cup winner once more.

"It is planned to run Byword in the Prix d'Ispahan and he may run before in the Prix Muguet, which he won a year ago," said Grimthorpe.
