Built will be entered in next Saturday's Grade 2 Pat Day Mile at Churchill Downs rather than Kentucky Derby 2025.

Aron Wellman of owner Eclipse Thoroughbreds confirmed the decision for Horse Racing Nation on Friday.

Trained by Wayne Catalano, Built is 0-for-3 this year. He was at no. 18 on the Kentucky Derby leaderboard with points earned from a win in the Gun Runner, a second in the Lecomte (G3), a third in the Risen Star (G2) and a fifth in the Louisiana Derby (G2).

The Hard Spun colt breezed five furlongs in 59.4 seconds Thursday at Churchill Downs.

His defection clears the way for Neoequos to run for the roses next Saturday. Trained by Saffie Joseph Jr., the son of Neolithic was third last out in the Florida Derby (G1). After losing his rider in his first race, he has finished in the money in all six starts since.

He has been working at Gulfstream Park and breezed four furlongs Thursday in a bullet 48.43 seconds.
