Bring It On Dude won the first leg of the Remington 2-Year-Old Triple by repelling all challengers to win the $78,750 Kip Deville Stakes for two-year-olds over six furlongs. The 9-5 second-choice in the wagering went gate to wire under jockey Jareth Loveberry to cover the distance in 1:09.85 and earn $48,750 for breeder, owner and trainer C.R. Trout of Edmond, Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma-bred two-year-old gelded son of Munnings from the Sunday Break (Jpn) mare Sundayville Break has now won both of his Remington Park starts to push his earnings to $76,844 with two wins from three lifetime starts.

Bring It On Dude paid $5.80 to win, $3.40 to place and $2.60 to show. He’s Comin In Hot chased throughout as the 7-5 betting favorite but finished two lengths behind the winner to pay $2.80 to place and $2.60 to show. Cale’s Gold finished third and paid $2.60.

The Kip Deville is the first of three races for first-year runners at Remington Park, leading to the $250,000 Springboard Mile on Dec. 13. The second leg in the series is the $100,000 seven-furlong Clever Trevor Stakes on Nov. 6.

The Kip Deville Stakes is named after the all-time leading Oklahoma-bred earner in Thoroughbred racing. Kip Deville broke his maiden at Remington Park before becoming a turf-racing standout throughout North America. He won the Breeders’ Cup Mile in 2007.
