Breeders' Futurity Appears Wide Open

Carolyn and Karen Scisney’s homebred Maybesomemaybenot, winner of the Sanford (gr. II) at Saratoga in July, headlines a field of 11 in the $400,000 Dixiana Breeders' Futurity (gr. I) for 2-year-olds going 1 1/16 miles on the Polytrack.

The Breeders’ Futurity, which serves as a “Win and You’re In” race for the Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (gr. I) Nov. 6 at Churchill Downs, is the fourth of five graded races on the Oct. 9 Keeneland card. Post time is set for 5:13 p.m. EDT.

Trained by Mike Maker, Maybesomaybenot broke his maiden in his second attempt this summer at Churchill Downs before winning the Sanford by 1 1/2 lengths. In his most recent start, Maybesomaybenot finished fourth in the Sept. 4 Sapling (gr. III) at Monmouth Park. Rajiv Maragh has the mount on Maybesomaybenot, who will break from post 8. The gelding is by Sunday Break, out of the Olympio mare Majestic Mommy.
