Breeders' Cup wagering menu includes all-dirt Pick 4 for 1st time

The Breeders' Cup 2023 wagering menu will include an all-turf, $3 Pick 3 on Nov. 3.

The three races, in order, are:

Race 5: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint

Race 7: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf

Race 9: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf

The Breeders’ Cup all-turf Pick 4 on Saturday is a 50-cent minimum wager and will package four of the best turf races in the world together with full fields of international competitors. The four races, in order, are:

Race 4: Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf

Race 6: Breeders’ Cup Mile

Race 8: Breeders’ Cup Turf

Race 10: Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint

For the first time, the Breeders’ Cup will offer the Breeders’ Cup all-dirt Pick 4 on Saturday, which is a 50-cent minimum wager. The four races, in order, are:

Race 5: Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint

Race 7: Breeders’ Cup Distaff

Race 9: Breeders’ Cup Classic

Race 11: Breeders’ Cup Sprint

Both the all-turf Pick 4 and the all-dirt Pick 4 will have a 15 percent takeout.

Breeders’ Cup will also offer a third, middle Pick 5 on Saturday, starting with race 3. The early Pick 5 will start with race 1 and the late Pick 5 with race 7.

Last year’s late Pick 5 on Saturday generated a $4.8 million pool, and the late Pick 4 offered a $3 million pool.
