Breeders’ Cup pre-entries will be announced Wednesday

FanDuel TV will host the live announcement of the pre-entered fields for Breeders’ Cup 2025 on Wednesday at noon EDT from Del Mar, it was announced Thursday.

Full lists of the pre-entered fields also will be available on the Breeders’ Cup website, app and on social media at Facebook, X and YouTube.

The 42nd Breeders’ Cup will be held at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 with 14 races and purses and awards totaling more than $34 million.

The pre-entry announcement will be hosted by FanDuel TV hosts Christina Blacker and Todd Schrupp.

Pre-entry is the first of a two-step process for all owners intending to start a contender in any of the 14 Breeders’ Cup races. The entry stage then takes place on Monday, Oct. 27, when post positions are also drawn. The draw is scheduled to be held in the paddock at Del Mar.

The championships climax with the $7 million Breeders’ Cup Classic on Nov. 1.
