Breeders' Cup elects 2 new directors, re-elects 2 others

Breeders' Cup re-elected two directors to its board and elected two new ones.

Bill Farish of Lane’s End Farm and Eric Gustavson of Spendthrift Farm were re-elected to four-year terms. M.V. Magnier of Coolmore was elected to a four-year terms, and Craig Fravel of Brown Advisory was elected to serve a three-year term. Fravel was president and CEO of Breeders’ Cup from 2011 to 2019. 

“We congratulate Bill and Eric on their re-election and are pleased to welcome M.V. and Craig to the Board,” said Breeders' Cup chairman Barbara Banke. “Their combined expertise and vision will be instrumental in driving the success of upcoming company initiatives, particularly the continued global expansion and impact of the Breeders’ Cup world championships.” 

The 2025 Breeders’ Cup with 14 Grade 1 races run during a two-day festival worth more than $34 million in purses and awards, will be held Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 at Del Mar in California. The 2026 Breeders' Cup will be held Oct. 30 and 31 at Keeneland in Kentucky, and the 2027 event will be held Oct. 29 and 30 at Belmont Park in New York.
