The fastest speed figures of Breeders' Cup weekend
While it often takes a career best effort to win a race at the Breeders' Cup, some divisions will prove to be stronger, based on the speed figures. Below we take a look at this key measuring stick for evaluating the strength of each race. View the Beyer Speed Figures, Brisnet Speed Ratings and Timeform Ratings for Keeneland's two-day event below.
Saturday
| Horse | Beyer Speed Figures | Brisnet Speed Ratings | Timeform Ratings |
| Authentic | 111 | 111 | 130 |
| Gamine | 110 | 110 | 133 |
| Tarnawa | 109 | 106 | 131 |
| Knicks Go | 108 | 109 | 129 |
| Order of Australia | 105 | 100 | 121 |
| Glass Slippers | 104 | 101 | 120 |
| Whitmore | 104 | 102 | 119 |
| Audarya | 103 | 102 | 120 |
| Nashville (undercard) | 102 | 108 | 134 |
| Monomoy Girl | 100 | 107 | 123 |
Noteworthy:
• There was a timing malfunction with Authentic's win in the Classic. While originally credited with a time of 1:59.19, it was adjusted Wednesday to an official time 1:59.60. On Monday, Andy Beyer — creator of the Beyer Speed Figures — told host Steve Byk on At the Races the 111 figure earned by Beyer was based off the Trakus final time of 1:59.82.
• Many will assume that the Mile was a weak race, considering Order of Australia won at 73-1, but the speed figures show it was still a strong edition. The last two winners, Uni and Expert Eye, received 106 and 101 Beyer Speed Figures, respectively.
• Whitmore's winning Sprint Beyer Speed Figure was narrowly higher than Nashville's number on the undercard, although Nashville's raw time was faster and the Brisnet and Timeform numbers were also much higher. Nashville would have at least been competitive and may have won the Sprint if entered.
• Gamine has received Beyer Speed Figures of 110, 108 and 110 in her last three one-turn races. She now has two of the 10 highest Beyer figures by a 3-year-old filly of all time.
