The Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf will bring together the top rising stars from North America and Europe in a one-mile clash Nov. 2 at Churchill Downs. Trainer Chad Brown will have the likely favorite in Newspaperofrecord as he tries for his fifth score in this race and third in a row.

Below is a look at the projected field with odds, which will not balance given the field hasn’t been finalized, but rather reflect the type of price we expect to see once the morning line is set.

Concrete Rose
, 4-1 (Twirling Candy – Rusty Arnold – 2:2-0-0 – $166,750): Different trainer, but Concrete Rose takes a similar path to 2017 winner, Rushing Fall. Keeneland’s Jessamine (G2) is the only U.S. “Win and You’re In” qualifier and Concrete Rose looked like a top competitor striding away with the win by three lengths.

East
, 10-1 (Frankel – Kevin Ryan – 2:2-0-0 – $53,172): Lightly raced compared to the other European contenders, East could also be one of the more dangerous ones. She is unbeaten in two starts and won a Group 3 less than two weeks after her debut. The Juvenile Fillies Turf will be her first time going at least a mile.

Just Wonderful
, 5-1 (Dansili – Aidan O’Brien – 6:3-0-1 – $148,341): Just Wonderful brings a resume of experience with her. She also won the “Win and You’re In” Shadwell Rockfel Stakes (G2) last out. Coolmore and O’Brien have won multiple turf events at the Breeders’ Cup, but the Juvenile Fillies Turf has eluded them since it’s first running 10 years ago.

Lonely Road
, 15-1 (Quality Road – Christophe Clement – 4:2-0-0 – $135,900): Lonely Road found her best stride when switched from dirt to turf in the Matron Stakes, where she got up to win by a head. She’s also being considered for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint and has yet to run past six furlongs.

La Pelosa
, 6-1 (Dandy Man – Charlie Appleby – 6:2-2-1 – $169,290): This Godolphin runner broke through in stakes when shipping from England to Canada to win the Natalma (G1). The late-running victory saved her a spot in the Breeders’ Cup, and maybe provided her with a confidence booster ahead of the World Championships.

Lily’s Candle
, 8-1 (Style Vendome – Fabrice Vermeulen – 5:3-0-0 – $317,864): Another “Win and You’re In” entry, Lily’s Candle earned her spot in the Prix Marcel Boussac (G1). It was an impressive victory, as Lily’s Candle rallied from last after being shut out and circling the field. The Prix Marcel Boussac was also a mile.

My Gal Betty
, 10-1 (Point of Entry – Roger Attfield – 4:2-1-1 – $121,226): Winner of Woodbine’s Catch a Glimpse Stakes, My Gal Betty returned to run second in the Natalma a length behind La Pelosa. She was scratched from the Jessamine.

Newspaperofrecord
, 2-1 (Lope de Vega – Chad Brown – 2:2-0-0 – $156,750): This standout filly is taking the same route as two of Brown’s previous Juvenile Fillies Turf winners, Lady Eli and New Money Honey – a winning debut at Saratoga and a victory in the Miss Grillo (G2) at Belmont. Her combined win margin from two starts is 13 ¼ lengths.

Pakhet
, 15-1 (Cairo Prince – Todd Pletcher – 3:1-1-0 – $84,650): Pakhet broke her maiden in her second start after stretching out to 1 1/16 miles from 5 ½ furlongs. She was also second in the Jessamine in only her third start.

Pivottina
, 20-1 (Vision d’Etat – Ludovic Gadbin – 5:1-2-0 – $50,058): Pivottina has not progressed as the races have gotten more competitive. She was fourth in the Natalma last out after another fourth-place run in a Group 2 in France.

So Perfect
, 12-1 (Scat Daddy – Aidan O’Brien – 6:2-1-1 – $165,534): So Perfect marks another Coolmore and O’Brien entry. She’s a Group 3 winner and has hit the board in her last two starts, both of which were Group 1s. The Juvenile Fillies Turf would be her first race past six furlongs.

Summering
, 8-1 (War Front – Tom Proctor – 3:2-0-1 – $108,000): This filly made herself known with a dazzling Del Mar debut, winning by five lengths in gate-to-wire fashion. She had tougher competition during her Del Mar Juvenile Fillies Turf victory and was a surprising third in the Surfer Girl Stakes when tight on the rail.

The Mackem Bullet
, 12-1 (Society Rock – Brian Ellison – 6:1-2-2 – $165,180): She may only have one win, but she’s been a close runner-up to Fairyland in her last two starts, the Lowther Stakes (G2) and the Cheveley Park Stakes (G1). She finished one spot ahead of So Perfect in the Cheveley Park. The Breeders’ Cup would also be her first time beyond six furlongs.

Also Possible: Hermosa, Varenka
