"Future Stars Friday," as the kickoff to Breeders' Cup weekend is now known, will feature five stakes races for the juveniles Friday afternoon at Churchill Downs. After hit with a deluge Wednesday evening into Thursday, the skies have cleared here in Louisville, Ky., leaving a main track that's drying out and a turf course expected to be yielding.

First post time for 10 races under the Twin Spires is 12:55 p.m. ET. Note that Race 2 could produce a maiden runner or two to watch moving forward, and Race 3 includes Kentucky Derby runners of the past, Patch and J Boys Echo. Stakes action begins in Race 4 with the Street Sense for 2-year-olds.

Then it's on to to the Breeders' Cup action at 3:21 p.m. ET.
