Breeders' Cup F&M Turf 2020: Latest Odds & Preview
The Filly & Mare Turf has the chance to be the best betting race of the Breeders' Cup as it could feature three runners who could wind up as the favorite.
Tarnawa, the recent winner of the Prix De l'Opera (G1), and 7-time Group 1 winner Magical both are likely to ship from Europe to Keeneland for the Breeders' Cup.
Both of these supremely talented ladies also are considering facing males in the Breeders' Cup Turf.
If both stars wind up in this spot, it would create an epic showdown with Chad Brown's Rushing Fall.
Rushing Fall, who has six Grade 1 wins to her name, including the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, does not know how to run a bad race. She has 11 wins from 14 starts in her brilliant career and has been second twice.
The only concern for Rushing Fall is distance. She has never gone farther than 1 1/8 miles as she takes on a field full of fillies and mares that embrace the 1 3/16-mile challenge.
She was rated off the pace a bit in the Diana (G1) last out in an attempt to conserve her speed and it resulted in a win, giving hope to her fans that she will be able to get the distance.

As amazing as the top three fillies and mares are, it would be hard to imagine someone else winning if they all showed up here, but the field has plenty of depth behind the three stars.
Graham Motion's Mean Mary gave Rushing Fall everything she could handle in the Diana and is proven at longer distances.
Cayenne Pepper has run second to both Magical and Tarnawa, and this improving 3-year-old comes to the U.S. off a romping score in a Group 2.
Sistercharlie, the 2018 Breeders' Cup F&M Turf champion, seems to have lost a step as a 6-year-old, but Chad Brown will have this 7-time Grade 1 winner fully cranked in her third start off a layoff.
One horse that has not lost a step is Civil Union. Shug McGaughey's War Front mare has won four in a row, including the Flower Bowl (G1).
From top to bottom, this field oozes class and will be one of the best races of the Breeders' Cup.
