Breeders' Cup Distaff 2020: Latest Odds & Preview
When Swiss Skydiver crossed the finish line first in the Preakness Stakes, much of the country began salivating at a potential showdown between her and Monomoy Girl in the Breeders' Cup Distaff. The rest of racing's fans wondered what a Breeders' Cup Classic featuring the star filly against Authentic once more — in addition to Improbable, Maximum Security and Tiz the Law — would look like.
This is the tough decision that owner Peter Callahan will have to make. If he chooses the run her in the Classic, it will have a small impact on the Classic odds but a large impact on the Distaff odds, as she has established herself as the clear second choice in the Distaff.

If Swiss Skydiver runs in the Classic, Monomoy Girl could be the heaviest favorite in any Breeders' Cup race on the heels of Midnight Bisou's retirement and Shedaresthedevil and Dunbar Road's disappointing third-place finishes in the Spinster and Beldame, respectively.
Monomoy Girl already is down to 7-4 in the best available odds. There is a large gap after Swiss Skydiver at 3-1 to Harvest Moon at 10-1.
With the major preps for the Distaff concluded, the final field is starting to take shape. Trainer Jack Sisterson confirmed on Monday that G1 winner Vexatious would be entered in the Distaff. Multiple G1 winner She's a Julie will join stablemate Midnight Bisou in retirement and will not contest the Distaff. Kentucky Oaks winner Shedaresthedevil will also bypass the Distaff according to trainer Brad Cox.
