Breeders’ Cup Classic 2016: Post Positions and Morning Line Odds

California Chrome was installed as the even-money morning line favorite for the 2016 Breeders’ Cup Classic. With a perfect season riding on the line, the Art Sherman-trainee will break from post 4 in the ten-horse field, with regular jockey Victor Espinoza in the irons.

The second choice is Arrogate at 5-2. Trained by Bob Baffert and ridden by Mike Smith, the three-year-old colt will leave from post 10 in an attempt to overthrow California Chrome. Arrogate comes in off a 13 ½ length romp in the Grade 1 Travers this summer.

Frosted and Joel Rosario were assigned post two and installed as the third choice at 5-1. Trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, Frosted’s connections hope to improve off a seventh place effort in last year’s Classic.
