Gun Runner remains the favorite to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic, but following a sharp workout earlier this week, Arrogate closed the gap in the latest odds released by the Wynn Las Vegas.

Gun Runner sits at 6-5 with Arrogate 11-5 now just more than a week out from the Nov. 4 race at Del Mar. Other top choices are Collected (3-1) and West Coast (5-1).

The Wynn re-opened wagering interest in Churchill after trainer Aidan O’Brien pre-entered him in two Breeders’ Cup races, giving first preference to the Classic. Churchill is 20-1, a longer price than horses such as Gunnevera (12-1) and Mubtaahij (15-1).

(Odds were released before the defection of Keen Ice announced Thursday.)

In odds for the Nov. 3 Breeders’ Cup Distaff, Stellar Wind remained an 8-5 top choice ahead of Forever Unbridled at 9-5. Bob Baffert-trained Abel Tasman, leader of the 3-year-old division, is a 3-1 third choice.
