Breeders’ Cup 2016: Post Times and Wagering Schedule

The 2016 Breeders’ Cup takes place at Santa Anita Park this coming Friday and Saturday. Not only will the purses be large, but so will the chances to make money on the races.

Below are post times and the wagering schedule for Nov. 4-5 at Santa Anita. All times are Pacific.

The bold font denotes Breeders’ Cup races. Friday features the Juvenile Turf (race 6), the Dirt Mile (race 7), the Juvenile Fillies Turf (race 8), and the Distaff (race 9). Saturday’s 12 race card is loaded with nine Breeders’ Cup races, ending with the 2016 Breeders’ Cup Classic led by California Chrome. The Juvenile Fillies (race 4) kicks off the Breeders’ Cup races, followed by the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf (race 5), the Sprint (race 6), the Turf Sprint (race 7), the Juvenile (race 8), the Turf (race 9), the Filly & Mare Sprint (race 10), the Mile (race 11), and the Classic (race 12).

A $500,000 Pick 5 kicks off Friday’s card with races 1-5. Races 4-9 feature a Pick 6 with a $500,000 guarantee. There’s also a $1.5 million minimum guarantee with a Pick 4 on races 6-9, which are the four Breeders’ Cup races on Friday’s card.

Saturday starts with a $500,000 guaranteed Pick 5 with races 1-5. Races 4-7, all Breeders’ Cup races, are in a Pick 4 with a $1 million guarantee. There’s also a $2 million guaranteed Ultra Pick 6 featuring races 7-12, which, again, are all Breeders’ Cup races. Races 9-12 will wrap up a late $3 million guaranteed Pick 4.

The Pick 6, Pick 5, and Super Hi 5 that takes place on Friday’s card may carryover to Saturday. The same may happen for Saturday’s Pick 6, Pick 5, and Super Hi 5 and Sunday’s card. There is also a Distaff/Classic Daily Double. The Distaff is race 9 on Friday and the Classic is race 12 on Saturday.
