Michael Tabor’s Bow Bells angled out for the stretch drive before pushing past stablemate Marcellina d’Oro in the stretch to post a length and a quarter victory in the $42,000 allowance feature at Monmouth Park on Friday.

Trained by Todd Pletcher and ridden by Joe Bravo, Bow Bells paid $10, $6.80 and $3.60 after stepping the mile and a sixteenth over firm turf in 1:41 3/5.  Fellow Pletcher-trainee Marcellina d’Oro completed the $58 exacta and paid $6.40 and $3.60.  It was another two lengths back to Corporate Culture, who paid $2.80 to show as the favorite in the field of eight fillies and mares.

A 3-year-old daughter of Giant’s Causeway from the Unbridled’s Song mare Marleybone, Bow Bells has won two of her three lifetime starts.
