Bouquet Booth Wins Delta Princess

Bouquet Booth established herself as candidate for the 3-year-old filly series at Fair Grounds this winter with a fast-closing, half-length win in the Grade 3, $500,000 Delta Downs Princess on Saturday.

The one-mile race was part of an eight-stakes card led by the Grade 3, $1 million Delta Downs Jackpot.

Bouquet Booth ($21.20) settled in seventh early, as Grandacious took the field through fractions of 22.17 seconds for the opening quarter, 46.98 for the half-mile and 1:12.34 for six furlongs. Bouquet Booth launched her bid into the final turn and went on to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:40.59.

Shaun Bridgmohan was aboard Bouquet Booth, who he also rode to a three-length maiden win last month at Keeneland.
