Dead last at the top of the stretch, 20-1 longshot Bonifacio unleashed an impressive burst of speed once straightened away for the run to the wire to win the featured $83,025 Daisycutter Handicap Friday.

With Alonso Quinonez in the saddle, Bonifacio forged to the front in the final strides to nose out Pasar Silbano, with Dotsy Jean only a neck farther back in third place in a three-way photo finish. Reba Is Tops was fourth in the field of seven older fillies and mares.

Bonifacio, a four-year-old daughter of Even the Score owned by Chandler and Graham and trained by Craig Dollase, sped the five furlongs over the infield turf course in 56.03 seconds and returned $42, $13.40 and $5.60 after scoring her fourth victory in seven starts. First money was $47,925.

Pasar Silbano paid $4.40 and $3.20, while Dotsy Jean returned $3 to show.

With no perfect tickets in Friday's Pick Six, Saturday's program will feature a Pick Six carryover of $157,244. Post time for the first race is 2 p.m.
