Blind Luck Versus Unrivaled Belle in La Troienne

Unrivaled Belle upset Rachel Alexandra in the 2010 La Troienne and if she wants to repeat she will have to hold off last year's Kentucky Oaks winner Blind Luck.

Bill Mott's 5-year-old mare Unrivaled Belle clearly likes Churchill Downs with her aforementioned win over Rachel and a victory in the Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic over today's rival Blind Luck. She was dusted by Awesome Maria in her much needed Gulfstream return and has every right to spring forward in this spot.

Blind Luck tries to snap a 5-race runner-up losing streak. The consistent late runner is not as sharp as she was last spring/summer and needs pace help and a fair track to change her recent luck.

Quiet Giant is the likely pacesetter for Ramon Dominguez and Todd Pletcher but she might not be good enough to outlast these. She also figures to be pressed from the outset by sharp Wayne Lukas filly Absinthe Minded.

Miss Luann, Seeking The Title, All Due Respect, Stage Magic, and Ravi's Song round out the competition.
