Bizzy Caroline Headlines Valley View

Catesby W. Clay’s Bizzy Caroline and Augustin Stable’s Dynamic Holiday both were assigned top weight of 123 pounds for Friday’s 21st running of the $150,000 Pin Oak Valley View (G3). Entries were drawn today for the 1 1/16-mile race on turf, which drew an overflow field of 12 3-year-old fillies and two also-eligibles.

Trained by Ken McPeek, Bizzy Caroline has not raced since she was eighth in the Del Mar Oaks (G1) on August 20. The Afleet Alex filly, who broke her maiden on the Keeneland turf course in April, won Churchill’s Regret (G3) in June. Manny Cruz has the mount on Bizzy Caroline, who will break from post position four.

Dynamic Holiday was fourth in Woodbine’s Selene (G3) on September 25 to Smart Sting, who also returns in the Pin Oak Valley View. Graham Motion trains Dynamic Holiday, a daughter of Harlan’s Holiday who will break from post nine with Edgar Prado aboard.

Augustin, who won the race last year with Fugitive Angel, also will start Safe Crossing, who was second in a 1 1/16-mile allowance race on the Keeneland turf course on October 7. Jonathan Sheppard, who trained Fugitive Angel, trains Safe Crossing.

The field for the Pin Oak Valley View, from the inside out, is as follows: Trac N Jam (Corey Lanerie, 117 pounds), In Step (Garrett Gomez, 117), Smart Sting (Kent Desormeaux, 117), Bizzy Caroline (Cruz, 123), Holidaysatthefarm (Freddie Lenclud, 117), Safe Crossing (Julien Leparoux, 117), Diva Ash (Mark Guidry, 117), Maid of Heaven (Jesus Castanon, 117), Dynamic Holiday (Prado, 123), New Normal (James Graham, 117), Daisy Devine (Calvin Borel, 117), Pinch Pie (Robby Albarado, 117).
