Big 3 Pick 3 connects trio of 100-point Kentucky Derby preps

The Big 3 Pick 3, an all-graded-stakes wager featuring a trio of Kentucky Derby prep races, will be available to horseplayers on Saturday. The wager was announced by New York Racing Association, Keeneland and 1/ST on Monday.

The unique wager will include the $750,000 Wood Memorial (G2) from Aqueduct Racetrack, the $1 million Blue Grass (G1) from Keeneland and the $750,000 Santa Anita Derby (G1) from Santa Anita Park. All three races are contested at nine furlongs and offer 100-50-25-15-10 Kentucky Derby qualifying points to the top five eligible finishers.

The Big 3 Pick 3 is offered with a base wager of $3 and 19 percent takeout. The wager has a mandatory payout. Although the Big 3 Pick 3 will be hosted by Aqueduct, the bet will appear as a separate track on wagering machines and online wagering accounts, labeled as Big 3 Pick 3.
