Better Odds - Future Wager or Las Vegas?

Did the pari-mutuel Kentucky Derby Future Wager, which handled nearly $600,000 this past weekend, offer better odds than the Las Vegas Race Books?
Well, to answer that question, yes and no. There were better prices to be found all around, but it did seem that in this Future Wager pool, because of all the money that came in on Uncle Mo and the Field bet, that there were some good prices on the longer priced horses.
Here is a comparison of the Pool 1 Future Wager odds compared to the most recent odds (February 22) from both Wynn Las Vegas and Lucky's Race and Sports. In cases where the best odds were clear, those are highlighted in yellow. (Note - Not all of Lucky's prices were available at press time, so many of the longshots are simply listed as "100+" or 100-1 or higher).
