Beshear Appoints Ward to Lead KHRC

Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear will appoint Thoroughbred trainer John T. Ward to the position of executive director of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission.
According to a news release, Ward will become director of the commission April 1.
Ward will succeed Lisa E. Underwood, who resigned in November to return to private law practice.
