Belmont Stakes Challenge to feature $1 million bonus

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) announced today that the Belmont Stakes Challenge, a two-day live-money handicapping tournament during the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival, will now feature a $1 million bonus for the winner, if they go on to win the Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge in November.

With a guaranteed prize pool of $110,000, Belmont Stakes Challenge entrants will also compete for one seat to the 2018 Belmont Stakes Challenge, four seats to the National Handicapping Championship and two seats to the Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge, in which the winner of the Belmont Stakes Challenge will be eligible for the $1 million dollar bonus if he or she goes on to also win the Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge.

The 2017 Belmont Stakes Challenge has an entry fee of $10,000, of which $2,500 will go directly to the prize pool with the remaining $7,500 comprising each participants' bankroll. Eligible tournament races at Belmont Park will start on Friday, June 9 and end with the 149th running of the Grade 1, $1.5 million Belmont Stakes on Saturday, June 10. Contest players can make win, place, show, exacta, and trifecta wagers.

 
Online registration for the Belmont Stakes Challenge is now open via belmontstakeschallenge.com or nyrabets.com and close on Wednesday, June 7, at which time full payment is required.
