Belmont Stakes 2016: 22% of the fans like Suddenbreakingnews

Although Suddenbreakingnews was given 10-1 morning line odds in the Belmont Stakes 2016, fans seem to have confidence in the Mineshaft ridgling. 22% of the HRN poll currently favors Suddenbreakingnews over Preakness winner Exaggerator, who is a close second with 21% of the votes. Exaggerator is the morning line favorite for the Belmont at 9-5 while Suddenbreakingnews was made the co-fifth favorite with Creator.

 

The Pletcher duo, Destin and Stradivari are tied at 9%. Destin comes into the Belmont with more experience and will be fresh off a five-week break. Stradivari will take on stakes company for only the second time. He has been lightly raced, but his fourth place finish in the Preakness was enough to make people feel the colt belongs in grade one company.
