Belmont Stakes odds: Sierra Leone is still the favorite

Sierra Leone, the top choice on the morning line for Belmont Stakes 2024, held as a well-defined favorite through Saturday morning's betting action.

At 6:28 p.m. EDT, odds for Sierra Leone had shortened from 2-1 to 9-5, in line with action Friday and early Saturday. The Belmont will be his first start since his runner-up effort in the Kentucky Derby.

Seize the Grey was next in the wagering at 9-2, drifting from the 4-1 where he was Friday and early Saturday morning.

Derby winner Mystik Dan remained 6-1, and 2-for-2 stakes debutant Mindframe gradually shortened Saturday afternoon from 7-1 to 5-1.

The win pool stood at $13,002,669.
