Rafael Bejarano came to Southern California in 2007 on the advice of the late Bobby Frankel as a 25-year-old jockey with much promise.
Now, 2 1/2 years later, he's a polished 28-year-old rider who has taken the Southland by storm and evoked memories of such Hall of Fame jockeys as Laffit Pincay Jr. and Chris McCarron.
