Be My Love Wins By Neck at Meadowlands

Kenwood Racing LLC’s Be My Love angled off the fence turning for home and wore down Trish’s Wish in the shadow of the wire to post a neck victory in the $30,000 allowance/optional claiming feature at the Meadowlands on Monday afternoon.

Trained by Stephen DiMauro and ridden by Paco Lopez, Be My Love returned $17.20, $9 and $5.20 in the field of 10 fillies and mares.  Trish’s Wish completed the $203.40 exacta and paid $13.60 and $7.40.  It was another half-length back to Bellaridge, who paid $3.40 to show.

A 3-year-old filly by With Distinction from the Untuttable mare Arealhotlover, Be My Love sports a record of 2-2-3 from 15 lifetime starts.

Live racing continues at the Meadowlands on Friday, Oct. 18 – gates open 11:30 a.m., first post 2:15 p.m.  The all-turf Monmouth-at-Meadowlands meet runs through Nov. 2.
