A complete dispersal of Joan Rogers’ Applebite Farms and phase one of the Walter Family Trust horses make up part of Barretts mixed sale scheduled for Jan. 24 in Pomona, Calif. The sale, which begins at 10 a.m. in the Hinds Pavilion at Fairplex Park, will offer a catalog of 392 horses that encompasses breeding stock, horses of racing age, 2-year-olds, and yearlings plus a supplemental catalog of 18.

Other major California operations offering horses at the sale include Martin and Pam Wygod’s River Edge Farm, Larry Mabee’s Golden Eagle Farm, and John Harris’ Harris Farms. California-based agent Andy Havens has a large consignment for several clients, and Sam Hendricks and Rancho Paseana also will bring several to the sale as agent.
