Ball Four to Appear at Keeneland

To celebrate the arrival of the recently retired grade II winner Ball Four at Old Friends Thoroughbred retirement center near Georgetown, Ky., the 10-year-old son of Grand Slam will make an appearance at Keeneland April 16, Blue Grass Stakes Day, as part of the track’s “Breakfast with the Works” program.
Ball Four was donated to the facility by owner Bruce Golden and trainer David Jacobson, and was shipped to Kentucky March 12.
Joining Ball Four with be special guest Jim Bouton, former New York Yankee pitcher and author of the acclaimed baseball diary Ball Four.
