Recovered from a foot bruise that had prevented him from breezing since June 15, Margoth’s Gunnevera returned to the work tab Sunday morning at Gulfstream Park West.

The 5-year-old son of Dialed In, who finished third in the $10 million Dubai World Cup (G1) on March 30 in his most recent start, breezed a half-mile in 48 seconds, the fastest of six recorded at the distance.

“I’m very happy with my horse,” trainer Antonio Sano said. “Right now, he is 100 percent.”

Gunnevera, who was being pointed to the Aug. 3 Whitney (G1) at Saratoga, is now being prepared for a return to action in the Aug. 31 Woodward (G1) at Saratoga.
