Lizbeth Gore’s Babybluesbdancing, a two-time stakes winner this season at Arlington International Racecourse, will take her third crack at graded-stakes company on Sept. 24 in the Grade III $200,000 Remington Park Oaks.
Following her win in the Purple Violet Stakes at Arlington in June, the 3-year-old daughter of Sky Mesa was runner-up in the Grade III Iowa Oaks at Prairie Meadows. The Terrel Gore trainee finished fourth two starts back in the Grade III Monmouth Oaks at Monmouth Park before capturing the Rolling Meadows Stakes at the Chicagoland oval on Sept. 4.
“She never disappoints,” said Terrel Gore. “[After Remington] there’s not much left for the rest of the season. We hope to race her at Hawthorne. Either way she’ll get some time off for sure.”
Jockey Ramon Vazquez will reunite with Babybluesbdancing, who drew post two in the field of five. Prairie Meadow’s leading rider piloted the filly to her second-place finish at big odds in the Iowa Oaks. 2016 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Filly champion Champagne Room, drawn inside, was instilled as the morning line favorite at even-money, with Babybluesbdancing as second choice at 5-2.
