The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission stewards have suspended and fined Scott Blasi, an assistant to Steve Asmussen, for disorderly conduct.
In a ruling dated June 10, Blasi was fined $500 and suspended for seven days. The suspension was stayed on the condition that no disorderIy conduct violation involving Blasi occurs in any racing jurisdiction within a year from the ruling date.
The action stems from a "physical altercation" at Churchill Downs on May 23, according to the ruling, but no details were included.
The ruling also requires Blasi to complete an anger-management program.
Blasi could not be reached for comment.
