The trainer-jockey combination of Steve Asmussen and Richard Eramia at Remington Park has become nearly unstoppable in recent weeks. Thursday night, they teamed up for three more victories as the multi-win race nights are becoming the norm for the partnership.

The Thursday triple didn’t even begin until the sixth race on the card when Equator ($4 to win) broke his maiden in his second career start for the Versailles, Ky. partnership of China Horse Club and WinStar Farm. In race seven, Miss Hur ($5.80) won her second consecutive race of the season, a $7,500-level claiming event, for Tulsa, Okla. owner Clark Brewster, giving him his 20th owning win of the season.

Finally, in the ninth race of the night, 11-year-old veteran Caberneigh ($5.80) won his first race of the season and his 16th of his career, scoring in a starter allowance for trainer and owner, Steve Asmussen of Arlington, Texas.

Since Eramia arrived at Remington Park at the end of September, and began picking up the bulk of the mounts for the National Hall of Fame trainer’s barn here, the pair have been routinely posting multiple wins on most race cards. Asmussen’s Remington Park operation is easily at the top of the trainer standings with 47 wins. Eramia now has 30 wins on the season, tied for fifth in the jockey standings.

Remington Park racing continues Friday and Saturday, Nov. 11 and 12, with the first race nightly at 7pm.
