Ascot Course Won't Affect Black Caviar

JOCKEY Luke Nolen said on Monday that the track at Ascot will pose no problems for unbeaten wondermare Black Caviar when she lines up for the Diamond Jubilee Stakes on Saturday.

Only hours after arriving in Britain on Sunday night, Nolen was out on Newmarket Heath for the first time on Monday morning.

After casting his eye over Black Caviar, who will be bidding for her 22nd consecutive victory at Royal Ascot, he said: "Black Caviar looks great and has travelled over well. She probably had a lot less to drink on the plane than I did!"

Nolen hopes to be reunited with Black Caviar for a workout on grass on Tuesday morning and he added: "I know Pete's very happy with her. I rode her in her last gallop before she left and she was in very good nick.
