The New York Racing Association announced Friday a series of bi-weekly mandatory payouts for the Empire 6 wager beginning on Sunday, Feb. 9.

Following the required approval of the New York State Gaming Commission, NYRA will offer five more mandatory payout dates for the Empire 6, all on Sundays: Feb. 23, March 8, March 22, April 5 and April 19.

The Empire 6 requires the bettor to select the first-place finisher of the final six races of the card.

On non-mandatory payout days, if one unique ticket exists, then 100% of the net pool, plus the jackpot carryover if applicable, will be paid to the winner. If there is no unique wager selecting the first-place finisher in all six races, then 75% of the day's net pool will be distributed to those who selected the first-place finisher in the greatest number of races. The remainder will be added into the jackpot and carried to the next day's Empire 6.

The Empire 6 sequence produced a record $130,646.20 payout for $0.20 when Mrs. Orb, Holmdel Park, My Bronx Tail, Awesome Alana, Maedean and Fight On Lucy combined to win on the November 1, 2019 card at Aqueduct.

The jackpot for the Empire 6 entering Friday's card at the Big A stands at $252,159. The Empire 6 will start in Race 3 with an approximate post time of 1:54 p.m. Eastern.
