The New York Racing Association has canceled live racing on Sunday and Monday at Aqueduct Racetrack, which was on Monday due to host the Jerome, a 2018 Kentucky Derby points race, with extremely cold temperatures and dangerously low wind chill values currently impacting the New York City metropolitan area.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for both days with current forecasts calling for sub-zero wind chill values throughout the day.

No details were provided on when the Jerome may run instead.

Additionally, with wind chill temperatures forecast to drop below zero during the card, Turfway Park has canceled live racing for Sunday and Monday. Laurel Park also axed its cards for both days.

On Saturday, Laurel Park, Turfway and Aqueduct all canceled parts of their cards as well with cold weather sweeping through the Midwest and Eastern United States.
