The New York Racing Association moved Saturday’s eight-race card at Aqueduct to Sunday because of a strong coastal storm forecast to impact the New York metropolitan area beginning late Friday and throughout Saturday.

Saturday’s card, which has eight races scheduled, will move in its entirety to Sunday with a first post time of 1:20 p.m. EDT. The feature is the $100,000 Biogio’s Rose for fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up, at one mile on the dirt.

Races initially offered for Sunday will be brought back as extras in the next week, beginning Thursday, March 28.

The National Weather Service forecast for Saturday at the track calls for one to two inches of rain, which will be heavy at times. Rain was expected to continue into the early-morning hours and then transition to snow. No snow accumulation was expected.

The forecast for Sunday calls for a sunny day with a high near 49 degrees.
