The New York Racing Association extended its weather-related cancellations at Aqueduct Racetrack, calling off live racing Saturday and Sunday due to arctic temperatures and extremely low wind chill values forecast to impact the New York metropolitan area.

NYRA previously canceled racing Wednesday through Friday resulting in no live racing at the Big A for the entire week.

The cancellation affects the Withers Stakes, a Road to the Kentucky Derby points race scheduled for Saturday, and the Ladies Stakes, which had already been rescheduled twice due to weather.

NYRA is working with the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association and New York Thoroughbred Breeders to schedule and apply for added race days. NYRA will release a new schedule for stakes races impacted by weather cancellations and a modified condition book in the coming days.
