The New York Racing Association canceled live racing after the second race Sunday at Aqueduct because of high winds affecting the New York City metropolitan area.

The National Weather Service forecast called for sustained high winds with gusts exceeding 40 mph.

The Grade 3, $175,000 Pebbles, the third race scheduled for 1 1/16 miles on the outer turf, and the $150,000 Forever Together, the seventh race for fillies and mares 3 and up, will be run Sunday, Nov. 23.

Entries for both stakes will be taken Wednesday, Nov. 19.

Live racing resumes Thursday at Aqueduct with nine races. First post is 12:10 p.m. EST.
