The New York Racing Association canceled live racing Sunday at Aqueduct because of a winter storm impacting the New York City area.
A winter weather advisory remained in effect for the region, with forecasts calling for three to five inches of snow, low wind chill values and high winds.
The storm, which began overnight, also prompted NYRA officials to cancel training at Belmont Park on Sunday morning.
Sunday's eight-race card marked the final day of racing before an 11-day holiday break. Live racing resumes Friday, Dec. 26, at the Big A with a card highlighted by the $125,000 Alex M. Robb Stakes.
