The New York Racing Association canceled Friday’s nine-race card at Belmont at the Big A due to an ongoing maintenance issue at Aqueduct Racetrack.

Earlier Friday, Resorts World Casino treated the roof with a product that has created air quality issues on the building’s top floor which is occupied by live racing officials. As a result, Friday’s card is canceled in its entirety.

Aqueduct Racetrack will remain open for simulcasting on Friday. Friday's featured race, the $150,000 Glen Cove, will be rescheduled. The Glen Cove is a six-furlong sprint for sophomore fillies. Ellen Jay, a Brad Cox-trained daughter of champion sprinter Covfefe, had been the 3-1 morning-line favorite.

Live racing at Aqueduct will resume Saturday with an 11-race card featuring the $200,000 Sands Point (G2) in race 5 and the $135,000 Floral Park in race 7. First post for Saturday's card is 12:10 p.m. EDT.

The Sands Point is a 1 1/8-mile grass race for 3-year-old fillies. The 9-5 morning-line favorite is stakes winner Spaliday, a daughter of champion turf mare Dayatthespa, who is trained by Chad Brown. The Floral Park is a six-furlong turf sprint for older fillies and mares. Brown also trains the 5-2 morning-line favorite in the Floral Park, last-out allowance winner Risk Threshold.
