Apprentice Jockey Rayan Gazader won his first professional race Sunday afternoon, guiding Glotona Again to victory in Gulfstream Park's seventh race.
Trained by Allen Maragh, Glotona Again, a 3-year-old, stalked the pacesetter Miss Regal Light under Gazader before drawing off down the stretch to win by five lengths. It was Gazader's 17th professional mount. The 19-year-old grew up in Miami and was raised in Ocala on his father's farm. Gazader was greeted upon his return to the jockey's room with the ceremonial buckets of water being thrown at him by his fellow jockeys.

"Oh, man, it's so exciting," said Gazader of winning his first race. "It's the best feeling ever."
