Apart cruises to Prelude win

Apart drew the outside post in the Prelude but it didn't matter as he pulled away from pacesetting favorite Coyote Legend to win the Super Derby Prelude going away on Saturday's stakes-filled card at Louisiana Downs.

Trainer Al Stall, Jr. is now positioned to have leading contender in the Super Derby for the third year in a row — he won the race in 2008 with My Pal Charlie, and ran second last year with Blame.
